Located opposite the historic Southwell Minster, Spybey’s Opticians is a family run independent opticians. We are based on the ground floor of Willoughby House, a grade 2 listed Georgian building built in the 1870’s, so it’s steeped in history and character.
The practice was first established by Andrew and Barbara Spybey. They had a passion for eyecare with a specific focus on independent frame brands and high quality patient care. This high quality care became synonymous with Spybey’s and in more recent years Adam Holliday’s expertise have added to an already highly respected practice.
The caring, patient focussed approach set out by Andrew, Barbara and Adam are the same values that we promise to continue. Today, Spybey’s is run by husband and wife Ashley Hughes and Sophie Blow and is part of the D.I. Blow Group, which is still family-run after 50 years (3rd generation). We are very lucky to maintain a great relationship with Adam and Andrew, and you will still see them occasionally in practice today.
We will ensure you are always given adequate time for your eye examinations, as well as frame selection and glasses dispensing.
We will continue to be at the forefront of innovative technology and keep up to date with the latest equipment in order to provide a thorough eye examination.
